Bupropion by Actavis v. Teva brand?

Posted by SheRox on April 23, 2009, at 21:26:55

Hey, all. I take Effexor, 150mg. I have been struggling with exhaustion for many months now. I am being medicated for thyroid issues, but that treatment hasn't lessened my exhaustion.

I was also tested for a billion different physical things (everything from mono to anemia to West Nile). My PDoc has now prescribed me:

Bupropion HCL 150MG XL Tab Act
Generic for Wellbutrin XL 150mg Tab

That's what it says on the bottle. I called the pharmacy to ask who manufactures it, and the pharmacist told me, Actavis.

This isn't the same as that other one, right? Ummmm...(thinking) Budeprion? That one is only by Teva...right?

So this one should be okay? Bear in mind that I'm not switching from another generic Wellbutrin...this is the first one I will have tried.

I also take Effexor, but I will be lowering that dosage starting tomorrow from 150mg to 75mg, while beginning the Bupropion, 150mg.

Thanks a bunch for any help.
