My take on alcohol is that it's not a good idea to drink it when on medications, but perhaps once in a while, it might be OK to have one drink for socializing.

Excessive alcohol intake isn't good for anyone, patients or so-called normal people.

If you need to drink all the time, you are an alcoholic, medications or not.
