Nah, the most likely suspect is dopamine depletion in this case. My neuro says he sees it most often with citalopram and escitalopram as they're the most selective SSRI's. There's also a big psychogenic component too though, and the symptoms are getting considerably better with hypnotherapy.

Is there not some evidence for other action of SSRI's, like 5HT receptor blockade and D2 supersensitivity? For example:
