same problem with MODAFINIL (question)

Modafinil gives me shortness of breath and also tightness around stomach and chest. This has been very annoying and I'm having panic attacks again. I have been taking it for a year but now I have been off it for almost three weeks, but the side effect persists. Does anyone know how long after quitting a med a side effect can last?
