Well thats what I mean. This man has spend most of his career advocating, I wont say entirely against but, avoidance of psych meds. He does argue alot about the involvement of the pharm companies in sales and cover ups....but this isnt news. His point is simply to draw attention...through controversy - what better way to sell a book than publishing something that goes against "the grain". Before I take anywork seriously I like to be informed who my author is...thats just me. That way I may be able to understand or any inherant bias in the work...thats all I meant with that. Other than that it is a good read and has good points to make...but nothing this gentleman can say will put me off meds as therapy is something for combo use with meds for me. He proposes its use commonly as a first line defence which makes sense but for some...a waste of time since you may need a med to help "suppress" any feelings or negative emotions/false emotions that get in the way of properly understanding your issues in therapy.myco
