You never know. As an example, we can look at Wellbutrin. With the original IR version, people would experience variable improvements throughout the day - peaks and valleys. When the SR version was released, not only did it produce a much smoother blood level throughout the day, but it managed to get more people more well. It feels like a different drug to many who have taken both versions.
I understand your attraction to giving the Seroquel XR a chance to work. I feel the same way about the few drugs that have helped me.
I hope Seroquel XR gives you the improvements in energy and paranoia you are looking for. If not, please consider adding Risperdal 3mg before you discontinue Seroquel altogether.
