You'll have to base the speed of your weaning process based on what you feel. Some people can come off fairly fast in large steps. For many others they have to come down very gently over a longer period than they expected, and in tiny steps. Like 45mg to 40mg to 37mg to 35mg, etc, by cutting tiny chunks off the pills. I was on 15mg Remeron for one year and it took me 2 months to get off by reducing the dose in about .5mg-1mg increments. Any faster than that and I had some serious major anxiety and insomnia and flu-like stuff.
