Hi Denise.

> Well i've now completed my second week on Anafranil and the anxiety attacks seem to have subsided, I have more physical energy but I feel sort of emotionally numb.

The side effects of Anafranil are a cross between those of a tricyclic and a SSRI. It is anyone's guess whether or not that numbness will disappear. However, if the drug works well, you will probably not notice it as much because the mind-activating properties of an antidepressant response should more than make up for a vague feeling of numbness. Also, you might be experiencing a sort of brain-fog that is almost certain to dissipate upon a robust improvement in depression. Feeling "weird" is sometimes a sign that good stuff is happening.

What dosage are you taking?
