Someone new to an MAOI needs a PDoc experienced with MAOI's in all aspects as you'll find spread throught out this board and recent archives. Spare yourselves the pain of self medicating. PLEEEEEZ. I cannot emphasize this enough. Make sure your PDOC will prescribe the essentials should you need them ie augments, etc. Make sure he/she hasn't a problem with high doses if needed. Then follow their lead. Mine took me up to 80 mg Parnate and 60 mg Ritalin. I'm a sad case. Most won't need that much. But there was a lot of monitoring of my BP, etc. before all was said and done. The fact is, I doubled my remission rate when I met with my new PDoc. 100% remission. Why experiment when you can safely have that?
