I want to try Vivactil

Hello!
I want to try Vivactil. I have tried ALL the SSRI drugs for 4.5 miserable years, and had a nasty withdrawal syndrome.
Are tricyclics better than SSRI's? Do they have the same withdrawal syndrome as SSRI's?
Please help.
