In reply to CAFFEINE increase of BP lasts how long?, posted by myco on March 11, 2009, at 10:29:32
well remember the bp rise is minor and doesn't exist in daily drinkers.
pretty much everything alters absorbtion of other things to some degree, for instance milk reduces rate of absorbtion of tea (though it seems to have roughly equal AUC) but as for a number, i'd guess low. fibre is probably the largest reduction in absorbtion, but most things absorb pretty well. I woldn't get too hung up on it, as long as you take it with similar food every day you just find the right dose that works and its not really an issue. I mean if $$ is super tight just take things on an empty stomach, although lipophilic drugs you'd probably want to take a shot of olive oil with (or take your fish oil caps at the same time.)
