I even tried 30mg myself to see if I could benefit any more from it when treating bipolar depression. I had no anxiety at all at the higher dosage. Anyway, through experimentation, I found that 20mg was much better for me than 10mg. When I was in really bad shape, it prevented me from getting anxious and suicidal.
I am VERY surprised that your doctors have not tried to push you to take more Abilify. What is the worst thing that could happen? If the anxiety is worse after a week, you can just return to the lower dosage. You've tried so many things in the past, I can't believe you haven't tried this.
If you have any questions about Abilify, I'll try to answer them. Abilify is less unlikely to produce TD because it is a partial agonist rather than a full antagonist at dopamine receptors.
