Ativan (lorazepam) is mellow, but it does have anti-manic (mood stabilzing) properties.
Clonzepam has strong effects, it's a tranquilzer...but it's so strong, it causes depression. Usally from 2mg-up. But that's the dose that treats manic (euphoric-psychotic) episodes,
Ativan did not work, it took 2mg, and the funny thing, i took this in the past for just period of time. 2mg - duraction usally 5-6 hours.
Ativan is good for sleep, that is a definate.
Could you take, Seroquel? that's about all of this generation's doctor's would consider with Ativan. Zyprexa, older phenothorizdies are "eee" kinda makes the doctor nervous because they decrease the white blood cell could, indicating, more suseptic to illness. Ex: Thorazine, Companine, Clonpinze. But these are for too strong anyways just for getting to sleep.
Ask maybe about Klonopin, because it will calm any....."manic" state, Seroquel with it, that should take care of it. But there is always, cases that are resistant.
