It should go away - completely. Well, it did for me, anyway. I don't think it will take more than a week. Give the 50mg a few more days. I don't think imipramine is like Seroquel or Remeron, where the higher the dosage, the less sedating they are. I was once on 450mg of imipramine. The doctors took their best shot. I am a rapid metabolizer, though. 200mg of desipramine will not put me in the therapeutic range.


Old shool rules of thumb:

Mild depression: 75-125mg
Moderate depression: 150-200mg
Severe depression: 200-300mg
