This seems to be a rather resurrected threat, anyhow... 6-7 years on Valium... at varying doses up to 180mg. Yes, there were and still are specific reasons for a high dose, obscure evidence based reasons that certain people (not necessarily myself) with disorders that fall into the psychosis realm (not exactly myself) benefit from high dose benzodiazepines.
And yes I did, eventually though there came a point about 4 years in where there was no more 'zing' to taking things.
Still, besides withdrawal, there is still a need to be keeping it at now, 90mg... it is a multi edged sword, just like several medications I take, if I go down on it I suffer from bowel and anxiety based things that people who withdraw from benzodiazepines do, but also my primary unexplained heightened visual sense / hyper vigilance orphan illness becomes worse.
Hence, to keep my functionality I still need to remain on something that actually with due caution is making me functional, even though I don't "feel" it directly.
