Actually there is no way to judge which med would be better. All of us have unique genetics and unique chemistry. That's why someone might respond really well to drug A while someone else with identical symptoms responds badly.
Personal trial and error is the only way to find out. Strattera, Ritalin, Adderall, and Dexedrine are probably the most common. But I've heard of all sorts of other unusual drugs not related to those at all that also worked. Such as antipsychotics, ssris, and benzos.
You just gotta try one and see. If that doesn't do it, carefully wean off and try the next.
I wish this stuff was as cleacut as, say, a broken bone, but it's not. Psychiatry is a mystery and even the best we humans can do is make educated guesses. But they are still guesses.
