The age of information and connections within the timing of a click is a double edged sword.
I went through a time of overimmersion in resources, other's findings, opinions, agendas....etc. Allowing that without utilizing my own critical thinking kept me in sickness as opposed to working toward wellness. Wellness takes different paths for every individual. The inability to be objective about the information I was drowning in was a BIG stumbling block. Trying to achieve convictions when one doesn't know which way to believe and the info to which one is exposed can be polar opposite from day to day is, at the very least, very difficult.
Two of the best pieces of information I ever received were:
1) Silence the critical influences which say getting well and having a better life isn't possible.
2) If one chooses a chemical path - these meds work best when one uses them, essentially forgets them and gets about the business of working toward getting well as opposed to staying sick.
Sappy and pollyannaesque perhaps but I've been in recovery for almost four years. I do not expect a response back. My "take" is not popular but I do hope you think a bit about what I've posted to you.
I wish you well.
