Hi Brian,

As I understand it, the rule of thumb for dosing-equivalence between ritalin and amphetamine (d-amphetamine) is 1mg dexamphetamine = 2mg ritalin (approximately). So the amphetamine is roughly twice as potent. However, adderall is not pure amphetamine--it's a mix of amphetamine compounds--various versions of d-amphetamine bonded to other chemicals. They do this so mostly that the dose enters the blood more gradually. (there's also a bit of l-amphetamine also). Anyway, if I remember right, 3mg of adderall are equal to about 2mg pure amphetamine. Do the math on dosing:
(3/2 mg adderall) = 2mg ritalin
(multiply both sides by 2)
3mg adderall = 4mg ritalin.

I think that's probably fairly close. So 10mg adderall would be about 13.3mg ritalin.
