> Parnate worked well for me but I was bothered by severe insomnia and agitation at 60mg per day so I discontinued. About two weeks off the Parnate and taking no AD I felt better than I had in years. That lasted for about a month. I am considering trying Parnate again at a lower dosage. Does anyone have any advice for aleviating the insomnia caused by the Parnate?
So, what you're thinking is that the Parnate WAS working, it was just hard to enjoy the benefits with the insomnia and agitaion? I'm on 60mg for 2 days, and Parnate total 10 weeks. Had bad insomnia like you (everyone, ha) but what worked for me was 1mg klonopin, and 6mg melatonin. The REALLY good news is that my insomnia has finally gone away. If anything, I fall asleep more easily than before I started. I no longer need any sleep aids.
And believe me, I had insomnia as bad as anyone. I think it does ware off at a certain stage of treatment. But for me anyway, it was as I got higher, not lower. Towards the last 2 increases.
