Luvox inhibits (slows down) the breakdown of Valium. So it does the opposite of what you read into it. It increases the effects of Valium because the Valium is hanging around longer than it normally would and accumulating to higher blood levels than it normally would.

Could be one of the reasons you feel strange unexplained reactions when you change the dose of one or the other.

Regardless, you have been on these meds so long that it is all fairly meaningless at this point. Your body is accustomed to the blood levels of these meds, for a long time now.

You have Lyme disease, right? Are you ever going to treat that? You are aware these neuropsychiatric battles will only get worse if you don't? Since you have been researching stuff lately, try these out...
Lymenet.org
Lymediseaseassociation.org.

Lymenet in particular has advanced detailed information on treatment.

Sorry to vere off course here. You are fine with the Luvox and Valium. With Luvox your Valium blood level is just a bit higher than it would be without it, that's all.

> Was always under the impression that luvox potentiated effects of valium, xanax wiki says it inhibits them so does that mean less and not more valium with luvox? I seriously need to know. Thanks Phillipa
