Does Metaformin help make you fertile?

i was on a board yesterday about clomid and someone mentioned that they were on clomid and metaformin (for PCOS) and were then able to get pregnant.

i think it's supposed to help restore a normal menses in woman with abnormal ones.
it also seems to help lower (greatly) the risk of miscarriages.
and of course the reduced rish of gestational diabetes and helps with weight loss.

just know that several people on this board were taking metaformin for help against weight gain from AP or SSRI's and wanted to shout out what i saw.
any comments appreciated.
