Update: While I'm sure my diet of one bowl of cereal daily on Parnate was the cause of my weight loss, you'll be happy to know, that my eve cravings have returned. Beer is a MAJOR culprit for me too, as is wine. I drink them with dinner, but, well, you get the picture. Well at least I'll have the fun of catching up.
Its so hard to make yourself eat during the day when you're not even hungry. 6 small meals, Yuk!!! It would probly work tho, can you try it and let the rest of us know? hah!
Anyway, couple things: Wellbutrin ended up doing what Parnate is doing. Lost wieght at first, but the eve hunger (which for me is the worst), comes back as does the desire for cocktail hour. I only took meds in the morn tho. If you can sleep on Wellbutrin with an eve dose, more power to ya!! Let us know if that works!!
I think you said tho, no more Wellbutrin from PDoc. Would he add augment, or add another A/D? Especially as your depression is still problem? My dad reponded really well to the mix of Cymbalta and Wellbutrin (not to either alone). Don't know anything about Cymbalta, but what about new A/D in morn, and Wellbutrin late in day? Just a thought.
If not, seems GP would be more familiar with effective wieght loss meds. My GP takes one. She lost bunch of weight I remember.
Feel your pang/pain,
~Jade
