Sinequan can be used for sleep so I think I was taking 10 mg. But it is weaker in that department than amitriptyline so I got used to it quickly.

Tha actual PI noted a starting dose of 75mg but I would not go there. 25mg sounds reasonable.
Not really listed in the PI anything about anxiety symptoms, are you sure its anxiety or not a rather more rare EPS symptoms such as akathisia (there is some blockade at D2 with TCAs but its pretty low)?
Or it could just be endogenous anxiety that you already have ?
Most people who havent been exposed to TCAs or any type of drowsy antihistamine for very long experience lethargy and sleepiness at the beginning. That's the typical effect.
But since they and certain psychotropics have anticholinergic effects, anything is possible, nervousness I think is one, chills (I got that reaction), blurry vision, pulse changes, etc, just like any belladonna related medication, e.g. cogentin (granted not as powerful as belladonna itself which is no longer used directly, at any rate).
Some of these will probably go away as things go on for a few weeks but if the anxiety continues, I'd discuss it with your doctor. There are other TCAs, if thats the route you want to go.-- Jay
