Now that I've stopped the Nardil, I would have expected that it would be easier for me to lose weight through dieting. It has not been. I have managed my weight with nortriptyline in the past. Maybe it's the Abilify that is acting as a culprit along with the nortriptyline.

I would say either the nortriptyline at 150 mg or abilify could be causing the weight gain. Your dose or the nortrip is high and is certainly a likely suspect. Abilify does some dopamine blocking which also makes it suspect.

I would have my testosterone, igf-1 (to measure hgh) and thyroid tested. Don't just look for normal but values in the upper half of normal. I believe that many of the weight gain issues with meds has to do with hormone disruption. Now parnate should help with weight issues. Perhaps you could lower the abilify or nortriptyline. But I would bet your hormones have been whacked a bit.
