Unfortunately dextromethorphan (I assume thats what you mean), can do very nasty things to your body and its a dissociative. You have to sign a register now for its (proper use) and its not available to people under 18 as far as I know still.

I don't know about rehab but I hope you received whatever care possible you could at the hospital. I assume you were admitted and possibly put on a hold, or watched in the ICU.

There really isn't anything you can do, I hate to say, but hope that your organs in time will heal. The liver and kidney damage (if it didn't affect all of both kidneys) may repair itself if you do NOT take anything that will affect it, including unfortunately some medications.

There are places and organizations for the mentally ill such as NAMI. You can look up your local chapter at www.nami.org

There are more intensive outpatient day programs for severe depression, which this sounds like. Be sure that they have medical staff. They can be expensive.

Ultimately, and I am not putting blame at all on you, please do not take this as that, it is watch and wait on what can be healed.

Transplants may be necessary, and often the mentally ill who are not being treated or seen are not put as much on the list because there is more of a chance of recidivism and because depression itself can alter rejection.

This is something that is so large that you really need to speak to your doctor (I hope), counselors, about what to do next. I imagine you must have a home nurse because this sounds rather serious.

I don't want to end on such a down note, but it is something that time will tell.

-- best wishes
