I felt like I was hyjacking...

~~~ Technically, the main feature and problematic beginning is hypertension. The term toxemia is actually a misnomer from the days when it was thought the condition was caused by toxic substances in the blood. The illness is more accurately called preeclampsia or PIH before the convulsive stage and eclampsia afterward.
The etiology of the syndrome remains poorly understood. MagSo4 remains as a treatment and delivery (no longer being pregnant) is the cure.
