Sorry to hear about your experience with the social event. Sounds like you made it through and are depressed that you couldn't relax and enjoy it (socialize). You say you had the valium and the drinks? Do you not have the Dex because can't get script? Or is that your own choice? Has that ever backfired? Dex+val+alcohol?
Have you ever tried Ritalin? Maybe that could work instead, just for such occasions. When I used to take it, I noticed it made me more sociable, never in a wierd speedy way. Now here's a REALLY lame suggestion. What about a couple of strong cups of coffee just before. (I know, you'll never read one of my posts again!) Just trying to get to know you :)
