Don't know. I think for most of us our bodies and nervous systems are very frail at this point, and even if we manipulate them in a good direction it will initially cause things to "freakout" and feel worse while things are confused trying to adjust. The p5p probably made more serotonin than you are accustomed to having. But there is no telling, since it has wide effects everywhere in the body.
Try reducing the dose to 5mg for a couple weeks and then increase it gently and slowly? I think 5p5 is enteric coated, but even if you cut the pills some of it will remain effective. You'll get some.
Then again, certain B vitamins can feel bad, varying on the person. The Pfeiffer Institute who treats people mainly with targeted vitamins and mineral based on extensive blood testing says there are some people who need to strictly avoid B vitamins since they are already too over-methylated. You don't have any clue if actually need B6 or not. Or B12, or anything else for that matter.
But I like that you are trying just one. That way you can know what is doing what. Then try another and then another. That way you can see what is neutral, what is good, and what is bad. Then you can mix things up in a customized way for yourself. Kind of like what someone on the alternative board does. He has become an expert on exactly which vitamins do what for him, and what time of day to take them, and even which ones to switch out from season to season.
You really need to give p5p more than this short trial to see if it is agreeable with you or not. To get that far, reduce the dose until it is tolerable, and then increase as tolerable. If it ends up being not good, well, that's fine, you have discovered something about yourself. You now know that you do not need B6, but that you need something else instead.
