Bleauberry ,
You may or may not have seen my previous posts over the last couple of weeks, but I started LDN about 2 weeks ago and have been thrilled with the results I have been getting. I have also tried about every prescription AD out there over the course of 12 years and they generally made me feel a hundred times worse.
Last fall, during ANOTHER cycle of depression I found Borage Oil, which really helped pull me out of the pit. It worked pretty steadily, but also made me pretty flat and just blah . Although this was a huge improvement on the horrible depression I had previously had, I read about LDN and started it a couple of weeks ago.
I started on 4.5 mg, which was probably too much and adjusted it down to 3 mg/night. I felt better immediately. Wake up full of energy, I feel focused and clear headed and motivated. Calm mood, anxiety is less and I am slowly starting to feel more relaxed in social situations and am actually starting to seek out interaction with others.
So I totally agree with you. I think endorphins could be a very overlooked piece of the puzzle in the treatment of depression for many.
LDN has virtually no side effects and is so benign, I think its a no brainer for people to look into this before they try ANOTHER SSRI that has so many horrible side effects.
