Dopamine could cause Hair Loss?

Posted by neo on October 28, 2008, at 14:05:20

Hi to all!
I'm since '05 on Amisulpride for a treatement of dystimic disorder.
During this period i began to lose my hair. I have never had this problem before, but as i am 45 y.o. it could be normal.
But, as i am not sure, i was thinking that it could be caused by the increase in amount of dopamine in the body. On the other side, on Amisulpride, i got a great incrase in the sexual drive and activity, so i suppose that my hormonal balance could be lifted too.
There could be a relation between increase of dopamine and hair loss?
Thank you very much indeed for you help and share.
