I have taken over 20 medications for strong depression, anxiety (mostly depression though), symptoms of poor concentration, cloudy mind, forgetfulness, poor energy, low drive, low mood, low motivation, low enjoyment, anti-social at times, untalkative... etc.
I take clonzepam, ritalin (tapering down), and low dose gabapentin right now.
doctor is starting me off at 10mg twice a day for 3 weeks.
How quickly can I expect some kind of positive effect? I heard MAOI's work quickly and many conventional medications made me worse or simply didn't help. SSRI's, SNRI's, anti-psyhotics, wellbutrin, heck you name it and there's a 50% chance i tried it when it comes to the more popular meds.
Please offer me any insight. I been told that parnate is good for my symptoms because I need something stimulating.
What has worked best for me thus far has been ritalin but it's effect diminishes over time.
Also it seems there is some potential small interaction with Parnate + Ritalin but maybe I just read an old article... my doctor did tell me it seemed no interactions but wasn't sure.
One thing I read is how it can increase the effect of ritalin and therefor lower ritalin dose should be taken.
I will try parnate without ritalin or as little ritalin as possible because without ritalin right now I feel lifeless.
