I thought you had some Tardive issues, although I still think they should be identified by a neurologist, but that's your prerogative.
Abilify is a bit stronger, wouldn't it aggravate things more?
I mean sometimes in managing schizophrenia you have to take medications despite tardive issues because it helps improve your functionality in the end.

Namenda (memantine), as you have noted is not an innocent drug. Its a non-competitive NMDA agent, NMDA including the family of Ketamine and PCP and other things, although memantine works differently. So yes, due caution.
This is from my own experience at least, that when I hit 20mg, things were just plain wrong, for a lack of better words.
My experiences in the world, which are already a bit different from other people was getting to the point of an eerie "movie set". Discontinuing it stopped that.
Anyhow good luck with the above is all I can say, and if you are going to do a drug trial, it should be under a doctor and it should be for several months. Anything less isn't going to demonstrate a lot, unless you have a severe or life-threatening reaction that demands discontinuation.
