Quite the coincidence! Lamictal is used for treatment-resistant depression and variants of bipolar disorder (as well as epilepsy). What dose are you on? Some people experience antidepressant effect as at 50mg, while others benefit from traditional mood stabilizing doses of 200mg. Off-labels some pdocs go above that if there is therapeutic benefit.
There's anecdotal report that the combination of Lamictal + Wellbutrin has power antidepressant effects. Perhaps something to consider.
Glad you're feeling better about the future.
> Funny you say that, i AM on lamictil.....I was doing some research though and JUST (about an hour) got a consult with a different psychiatrist and he said that he hardly prescribes it. I am very glad I contacted him though because I feel a lot better for my future.
