> I read the google links on benzo withdrawal and as a 37 year user of benzos been cutting down a bit and don't have any of the symtoms they mention. Me I'm more tired and want to be on the go at the same time stay up late and sleep late. Anyone else cut down? So far from 20mg of valium and .5 of xanax to 12.5 valium and .25 xanax. Sleeping in longer periods but bored. So what does it mean? Phillipa
You can read anything about benzodiazepine withdrawal on the net, I'm sure various patients have their own individual experience.
Like I said for your sleep hygiene it really doesn't make sense to burn the candles at both ends.
You can't be "on the go" and expect to get enough sleep at the same time as wanting to stay up late and sleep late.
Staying up late on babble (I'm not saying you are, its just an example) or whatever you like and sleeping late can create a sleep disorder complex which doesn't really help your anxiety.
The boredom sounds like a different disorder happening -- some form of depression, paradoxical to your withdrawal. But then again benzodiazepines themselves create paradoxical reactions in some people. I would say, I don't know, that the tiredness is actually an anxiety reaction in disguise. But its merely a theory.
