The Ashton method sounds quite reasonable.
Valium (brand name) comes in 2mg, 5mg, and 10mg tablets.
Generic diazepam also comes in 2mg, 5mg, and 10mg scored tablets as well as a liquid solution 1mg/ml.The liquid solution would be ideal for a gradual taper as it would be easy to measure out the exact dosage.
