In reply to finding success with Provigil and my ADHD, posted by Eljakeo25 on October 23, 2004, at 10:56:09
Wow...you relate to exactly how I feel. Your story is so similar to mine. I was diagnosed with a learning disaibility at 9 for word aphasia. Basically it is dylexia with words. I didn't find out until 20 that the underlining cause was adhd. I didn't know I had adhd, because I thought the reason I couldnt understand things was because of my learing disability. I compensated my whole life. Now, they have tried three different meds on me: focalin, ritalin, and provigil. Focalin was the worst meidcation. I would feel good durring the day, but too melow. I would als have the oppsoite effect of being depressed when the med wore off. Ritalin just basically adgitated me. All the drugs made me focused. I would get kind of unmotivated to do anything. I would get too melow and just be lazy. Hopefully, Provigil will work out. I woudl actually like to hear how to all works out for you, because I feel like you relate to me.
