do liver enzyme genotypes affect nutrient levels?

Posted by iforgotmypassword on September 15, 2008, at 11:03:57

are any nutrients or important chemicals subject to problematic hepatic metobolism (or problematic lack of hepatic metabolism) when someone is a specific type of "metabolizer"?

i ask this as many nutrients and important chemicals and proteins do not have available tests for deficiency (or overload.)

has there been any studies with superior testing methods indicating anything anomolous (e.g. deficiencies) in people with different enzyme genotypes that we *CAN* and *DO* test for.

this may make no sense, as i am not knowledgeable in this area. this is another reason i am posting this.
