Yes -- its used in the same ways Neurontin is used but is yet more capable of mimicking/activating GABA through the blood brain barrier.

It comes though as a controlled substance (C-V), and it does have some side effects, so does Neurontin.

Personally I wish I could have substitued it but I got the around 10% vision blur side effect, which Neurontin also can do. As they say, your miles may vary.
