I know that I've read some case reports in the past about St. John's Wort-induced psychosis, but now that I'm trying to locate the reports, I'm unable to find them. If I were able to locate and cite the reports that I read, then that would be some evidence that St. John's Wort may actually worsen psychosis instead of treating it. Of course, with all individuals being different, it could be the case that some individuals taking St. John's Wort might indeed notice a reduction in psychotic symptoms while taking the herb.

Just curious, what is your assertion of St. John's Wort with 5-HTP and Benadryl being a cure for psychosis based on? I have schizoaffective disorder, and I've considered taking St. John's Wort for the depressive component of my disorder, but never thought that it might help with psychosis.
