Lexapro, second time around, Working?

Posted by HappyGirl on September 2, 2008, at 18:12:05

Thanks all of you who responded my previous post.

Now, one more question is whether Lexapro helps or not, because my friend stopped it after 6-months-taking that occurred 9 months ago, due to 'dependency scare' in his part.

He was on the 10 Lexapro for 6 months and DID help his Anxiety along with mild form of depression, mostly negative thoughts.

In my close observation on his moods, .... this time, 2nd time it seems NOT quite helping like did before.

Someone told me that once quit taking any psychiatric meds., those meds. are useless on second time try. Is it true? If does, what does he need for it work on his Anxiety?

Thanks for any imputs on this.
