I wonder if you are still experiencing withdrawal from Nardil. I had a rough withdrawal from it. I also had urinary problems on Nardil but not on Parnate. I still get hypotension from it but it's been a lot better since I reduced my dose to 40 mg from 50. Constipation is also a problem so I try to eat as much fruit and fibre as I can. I get a weird clenching of my buttocks at night which has left me a mess as I have fibromyalgia.
My sleep varies. I'll either sleep for 10 hours, or I wake up after 3 hours sleep and toss and turn. I take 25 mg of seroquel, .05 clonazapam and 7.5 zopiclone. I had to double the seroquel and take another half of the zopiclone on Nardil. I can't figure out why some nights I sleep like a log and others I'm awake at 3am and can't settle back down.
I don't find Parnate to be working well for me at all. I'm extremely self-isolating and it has not been great dealing with my depression.
I would stay on Parnate, side effects and all, if it would alleviate my depression, but almost every day I can feel breakthrough depression.
However, in your case, you could still be dealing with side effects from going from 90 nardil to 40 parnate. You may want to wait a bit longer until the nardil clears your system. I found Nardil to have more severe side effects than Parnate, so a lot of what you are experiencing may settle down. Keep posting on how you are doing.
