I'd definitely consult your Dr. prior to taking any medications and/or supplements w/ any MAOI.

Headache, tremors, mania, or insomnia may occur if ginseng is combined with prescription anti-depressant drugs called monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), such as isocarboxazid (MarplanŽ), phenelzine (NardilŽ), and tranylcypromine (ParnateŽ).
