I am willing to take your word on its safety/toxicity providing you show me one study which stands as testament to that fact. Even better if it's from 1930, although screening for a drug's neurotoxicity is something recent leap in drug science. That your friend has taken it for 30 years does not necessarily answer any questions regarding its effect on the brain.
