I got a wonderful surprise at the pharmacy a couple of days ago.....adult doses of Lamictal have gone generic (As of July 23, 2008)!!! My $50 co-pay for Lamictal 200mg was reduced to only $10! Score!
Interestingly, the day before I went to the pharmacy, the kind people at GlaxoSmithKline were nice enough to send me a card which I could use 6 times for a $25 discount on each fill. I was so excited. Thanks a freakin' lot, GSK, for sending me an unusable card!!!! Jerk-off's.
By the way, if you take any non-generic medications, be sure to go to the website for that med and check for coupons. Previously, GSK had sent me 10 coupons for $10 each for Lamictal. Note that I had to go through the epilepsy-specific Lamictal site, as the coupons weren't available on the bipolar-specific website. I cry discrimination!!!!!!
Back on topic, has anyone tried this generic Lamictal yet (it's made by Teva)? I've only taken it a few days, but so far I can't tell any difference from the brand name.
Thanks in advance for your contributions!
