Depending on whether or not you have insurance, I have some other thoughts for you, too:
If you have insurance, ask your doctor to get prior authorization. If they deny it, appeal, asking for a single patient compassion license. Your doctor will have to write a letter justifying it on the basis of "medical necessity," which is actually easy enough with Provigil -- it's harder when it's something that has a cheaper alternative, like a brand name atypical, instead of generic Haldol, you know?
If you don't have insurance, check out the patient assistance program for the manufacturer. They all have something, and there's often no cost if you qualify.
Good luck.
