Can anyone share their experience with Lexapro 20mg? Was it positive or negative? I'd like to hear from you. Thanks. Cheers.

Gee, that seems odd that your pdoc didn't tell you of the increase. I got an increase from 10 to 20 about a month ago, I was told that it might be beneficial to increase it.I have noticed a slight decrease in my knee-jerk anxiety reactions...... sometimes I can even rationalize things BEFORE the anxiety/paranoia kick in-- which is a first for me. I would say the anxiety and then inturn irrational thinking has gone down a bit. But the down side is-- I lack energy-- and that is not good as being hypo-thyroid(low thyroid) in the first place, I lack energy most days and now it's even worse. But--one good thing, I have only gained two pounds so far-- unlike I did on Celexa. (was on Celexa 7 years ago and in 6 months of being on it I gained 20 lbs)
I would like to not feel so tired...... though, I had to do something as I was entering suicide ideation-- was so tired of feeling like any minute a trauma was going to happen(been this way most of my life-- so sick of it!).... always so hypervigilent and such skewed thoughts.(it's still hard sometimes to tell which thoughts are skewed and which thoughts are rational)
So yea, there are good and bad for me..... guess one has to weigh the two and decide which is the better route to go. I wish you the best with whatever you decide.
