Hi All,
I am on a hefty dose of California rocket fuel (venlafaxine & mirtazapine) which has been working pretty well as an AD for years.
The last 6 months I started having days when I felt pretty bad for no real reason. Lately I've started having a week or so feeling awful.
I'd just like to know if anyone has any thoughts on exactly how you know when the ADs have pooped-out on you?
I was on citalopram years ago. It worked well at 40mg, then I started increasing it up to 80mg but the last year I really think it wasn't working at all. I just thought that was my fate in life. I didn't know of the concept of pooping-out. I certainly had never had any other sort of med just "stop working". So I just put up with the depression until I finally heard about the phenomenon & changed to the new ADs.
I can't bear the thought of just waiting & waiting until I feel depressed "all the time". And unfortunately I can't possibly increase the dosage of the ADs. So how do you know if pooping-out is really happening to you?
Thanks ;)
Mr. M.
