Do all TCAs feel like Desipramine?

I tried Desipramine for 3 days and my heart was beating so fast it made my chest hurt and my bp was so low I had to lie down...are they all like this? Since I can't take SSRIs my pdoc said it's TCAs. Just wondered if they all do that. If so, I guess MAOIs are the next line right?
