ADHD-discontinued treatment?

SWIM was diagnosed with ADHD by a top Psych. He was scripted 20mgs Methyphenidate by their PCDoc-upped to 80mgs by PCDoc, which also they found treated a mood disorder, MORE SATISFACTORY THAN ANY AD~6. Back to PsyDoc who began treatment with Dexamphetamine-20mgs.
PCDoc discontuninted Methylphenidate, SWIM began drinking.
What would SWIM say to PCDoc to continue treatment with the treatment which gave SWIM with a life worth living?
