I have been taking Cymbalta 30 mg with Deplin with GREAT RESULTS for about 2 1/2 months. There was a great charge of energy and mood at the beginning which was almost hypomanic but when it subsided after a couple of days and then I began to think it had no effect. However, after about 3 weeks, I really felt wonderful. Great mood and energy. The best AD yet. It also eliminated chonic sacro-iliac pain - which was an unexpected bonus because the Lamictal and Prozac I was taking never helped the nerve pain. I had been on Prozac and Lamictal which was never as good, for about 4-5 years. I was always sleepy, couldn't consentrate, memory problems, but adequate mood until it pooped out. Before that I had tried every AD there is and all were just too sedating to be functional.
The side effects subsided over time as well. The major problem was dry mouth and constipation, I solved that with trying to eat more fiber, taking psyllium husk capsules , drinking a LOT of WATER and walking and other exercise which I now have the energy to do. The good part is that I LOST WEIGHT and lost my carb cravings. If you try it, don't quit too early, it takes time to kick in.
